Sealing Surfaces

Protect and refresh suitable concrete, pavers, limestone and exposed aggregate with sealing option suited to the surface and the finish you want.

Before recommending a sealer, we look at the surface, it’s condition, any previous coatings and the preparation needed.

The Right Sealer for the Surface

  • Clear and Penetrating Sealers These can suit porous surfaces where you want to keep a natural look or bring out a little more of the colour.
  • Concrete Colour Sealing Bring faded, patchy or worn concrete back to life with careful preparation and professional colour sealing.
  • Resealing Existing Surfaces If a surface has been sealed before, we first check the condition of the old coating and whether a new sealer can be applied over it.
  • Preparation Makes the Difference The surface may need cleaning, stain treatment, repairs or removal of old coatings before sealing can begin.
  • Previous Coatings Need Checking An unknown or unsuitable coating can affect how the new sealer bonds and how the finished surface looks.
  • Clear Advice Before We Begin We explain the likely finish, how the surface will need to be maintained and any limitations before work starts.

Surfaces We Seal

  • Concrete driveways
  • Coloured concrete
  • Garage concrete
  • Pavers
  • Exposed aggregate
  • Limestone walls, steps and paving
  • Outdoor entertaining areas

Not every sealer suits every surface, which is why we check the material and any previous coatings first.

What Sealing Can Help With

Sealing can refresh the appearance of a surface, help reduce the absorption of moisture and some stains, and make the area easier to maintain.

The final result will depend on the condition of the surface, any previous treatment and the sealer used.

What Sealing Cannot Fix

Sealing will not repair structural movement, active cracks, poor drainage, major surface damage or an old coating that is already failing.

Some areas may need repairs or extra preparation before they can be sealed.
